Ever since the world completely flipped upside down, forcing us all to adapt to a life of isolation and Zoom meetings, I began to take a deep dive into the various worlds of spirituality, the law of attraction, and most recently, personal development/self-improvement. What I’ve come to realize after watching numerous YouTube videos, scrolling through astrology and spirituality-related tweets, and rummaging through the Personal Development section of Barnes & Noble, is that we, as humans, actually have more say-so over our lives than we truly realize. There’s so much more to life than what we can see, touch, feel, smell, and taste; we are spiritual beings having a human experience, why not make that experience amazing? You may be familiar with the concept of “Nihilism” (to be honest, I didn’t know what it meant until, like, a few months ago), but I recently came across the term “positive nihilism”, which is basically saying, “yeah, everything’s made up, nothing matters, so do whatever the hell you want! Make your own happiness!” I feel like positive nihilism is a term that best describes my mindset and outlook on life at this point in time, however, it’s something I’m still trying to actually live by and implement into my daily life. It’s easy for us to get caught up in negativity, responsibilities, and overall shit that won’t really matter when it’s all said and done. So, what now? How do we actually manifest our dreams and craft the life we so desire?
Well, I’m still figuring that out myself. I really want this blog to take off, to attract thousands, possibly millions of readers, sooner rather than later. I want to make enough money to move into my own apartment, plus have enough money to be truly comfortable and financially stable, I don’t want to scrape pennies together to pay for my next meal. So, I guess one part of lifestyle design is having a plan. What do you want? What makes you happy? What are your wildest dreams? Fuck reality, it doesn’t matter how much money you have in your bank account right now, or whether or not you went to a “good” college, or any college at all. It doesn’t matter what you look like, how worthy or talented you believe you are, YOU are enough. YOU are worthy. So write it all down, your goals, desires, dreams. What is that dream career? How many hours do you work? Do you work for yourself? How much money do you make per month? What’s your home look like? What are the characteristics of your soulmate? Next, we have to take action. While it’s great and very important to have faith in a higher power and be confident that everything will manifest for you, we have to take some sort of action. For me, I’ve been wanting to manifest a successful, money-making blog for over a year now, but what have I done to achieve that thus far? Not much, honestly. Hell, I sat at home for over a month in 2020, and still barely did shit for my blog. It’s also not productive to beat myself up for my mistakes, so I’ll try not to do that, but it’s the truth, I could be thriving and making thousands of month at this point, but instead, I’m just now working up the momentum and drive to actually put in some real work to get to where I want to be. There’s never going to be a “perfect” time to go after your dreams. If not now, then when? If not you, then who? (That line is from N.E.R.D and Rihanna’s song L.E.M.O.N, at least that’s where I know it from, lol). Anyways, you must have faith and strong self-belief. Do what you know needs to be done, and the Universe, God, whom/whatever you prefer, will take care of the rest by aligning you with the right people, the right places, and the right opportunities. You CAN create your reality!
So I guess this is officially my first post, yay! Maybe it completely sucks and I need to majorly improve my writing skills, I don’t know, but I have to start somewhere, right? I’m gonna be honest here, I don’t fully know what I’m doing. I’m not some super-spiritual, crazy successful and wealthy guru or expert (yet). I’m simply a girl trying to prove to myself that I can do whatever I put my mind to. All that stuff I said about taking action and having faith, yeah, I still need to take my own advice. The ultimate goal of this blog is to inspire people. I want someone to read my blog and say, “Wow, I needed that!” or “Wow, this post changed my life”. I want people to recommend my blog and screenshot posts to send to their family and friends. I want to make a difference. And I mean, making a cool $10,000 a month would be nice too, I’m not gonna lie. So I hope you’ll stay with me as I navigate this 3D existence and work to drastically improve my life for the better (and I hope I can maybe help to improve yours as well). I plan on writing content about manifestation, productivity, self-development, book reviews, and maybe some other spiritual stuff as well. I hope you enjoy!
